Sakanoue

Location. Sakanoue is located in the historic Higashiyama district in Kyoto, just off of Nene no Michi, the street that runs in front of Koudaiji Temple. The Kiyomizu-dera temple lies just one kilometer (0.6 mile) away, and Nijo-jo Castle is three kilometers (1.9 miles) from the hotel.

Hotel Features. The split-level hotel is situated around the central garden area. Wooden Japanese communal baths are on site and can be reserved for private use. Kaiseki course meals, a Kyoto specialty, are also available. Parking is free, and guests may take advantage of the dry cleaning, concierge and tour services provided at the inn.
